The Parish Council will be launching a brand new funding policy from the 1 April 2025 making easily accessible support available for the benefit of the Hesketh Bank community.
The new policy will set aside an initial sum of up to £10,000 annually for projects such as volunteer programmes, projects for young people, community groups, development of communal facilities and local sports groups. This is not a definitive list and applicants are not limited solely to these areas.
The annual amount to be reserved will be agreed each year – unallocated funds will be used to top up the fund for the forthcoming year. In order to ensure a fair and reasonably wide distribution of the funds annually it has been agreed that no single request should exceed 20% of the overall fund that is reserved annually, e.g. if £10,000 then £2,000.
